A flower cake from Pua Cake Studio costs more than an average bakery cake due to the quality ingredients used to make our delicious cakes. Each cake is given extra attention and detail as each flower is handpiped using buttercream so an extensive amount of time is required.
No, we are open to creating other creative buttercream cakes. You are more than welcome to bring your ideas and inspirations and we are here to bring them to life in your custom design cake!
We currently do not offer fondant cakes, buttercream cakes only.
Yes! The flowers are 100% edible as it is piped with buttercream.
Yes we do offer special dietary cakes for an additional cost.
No, we do not make faux (fake) tiers.
Yes, we are able to source flowers per request from the customer for an additional fee. You may bring your own flowers from your florist as decorations for your cake for a small assembly fee. Please keep in mind that certain flowers are toxic (i.e. pollen, pesticides, etc.) so please discuss with your professional florist the safety of using fresh flowers on your cake.
For custom order cakes, please fill out the inquiry form for a quote and order confirmation. Upon filling out the inquiry, we will respond within 24-48 hours. Allow at least one-week advance notice for cake orders (wedding cake orders do not apply) but does not guarantee an order confirmation.
The earlier the better! Although we recommend at least one week notice for custom cakes, it does not guarantee an order confirmation. We may have busy seasons so cake orders with short notices may not be fulfilled. For wedding cakes, we recommend booking several months to up to a year in advance to secure your cake order.
Once a confirmation received and all the details about your cake has been discussed, an invoice will be sent via Paypal by email address. You will be able to pay with your Paypal account if you have one or you may pay with a debit or credit card.
Our studio shop will be opened with limited days and hours for walk-ins. A custom cake order requires pre-payment or a 50% initial deposit and you may pay the remaining balance upon pick up at the store. You may also walk-in during business hours to purchase pre-designed cakes that same day (based on availabiity).
Yes! We do offer delivery service for the entire island of Oahu. The delivery rate ranges from $35-$150 based on the distance from Pua Cake Studio in Wahiawa to your desired location. There are some restrictions for delivery that apply.
We will be implementing online ordering along with curbside pick up in the near future!
Yes we do have a variety of cake stands and other equipment and props for rental available! We do require a refundable deposit along with a rental fee depending on the cake stand you choose. Please inquire when you order a cake.
Yes we do offer cake tasting as well as a cake tasting consultation. Usually the cake tasting consultation includes a cake tasting sampler with a 30 minute in-person or telephone consultation for $45.00. If you decide to order a cake with us, we will credit the $45.00 towards your cake order.
For those who want to just taste the cakes without a 30-minute in person consultation is available also! We offer a cupcake sampler pack that includes 6 flavors. Please order at least 2-3 days in advance for pick up.
No we do not ship our cakes or baked goods.
It is best to have a flat area in your car to place your cake so it does not tip or fall over during transport. Make sure your car is cool with the air conditioner to prevent the buttercream from melting and sliding especially in hot summer weather! Please plan accordingly as Pua Cake Studio is not responsible for damaged cakes that are picked up from the studio shop.
If you plan to display and eat your cake within 3-4 hours of pick up, you do not need to store the cake in a refrigerator. For hot summer temperatures, it is best to store the cake in a refrigerator until display & cake serving. Leftover cakes should be wrapped to prevent from drying out and stored in the refrigerator.
The shelf life of the cakes are 5-7 days refrigerated but must be eaten within 3-5 days for best taste quality. Cakes may be frozen for up to 3-6 months when properly stored but taste quality is not guaranteed.
The cake should be served at room temperature for best tasting quality. The buttercream is made with all butter so it is best when the frosting is soft. Enjoying it at room temperature brings out the best flavors and textures of the cake!
